We all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, no matter who we are, who we love, or what zip code we live in.

Right now, we have a patchwork of state-based protections for LGBTQ people across the country – but millions of LGBTQ Americans remain vulnerable to discrimination every day.

The Equality Act would update the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other federal civil rights laws to make it clear that people are protected from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

This is a pivotal moment for our community, and for everyone who believes in fairness and equality. The Equality Act passed in the House, but we need support in the Senate.

We give so much to our communities, work, and families and need and deserve the same dignity, fairness and respect as others. Let’s make sure this U.S. Congress is the one to pass the Equality Act and bring a level playing field to LGBTQ people nationwide as we live our lives.
