Rianna joined GLAD in October 2017 after graduating from Yale University with a B.A. in African American Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Rianna previously interned with the ACLU’s LGBT & HIV Project. She also interned with Lambda Legal, working with their Youth in Out-of-Home Care Project, researching the disproportionate contact LGBTQ youth of color have with the juvenile justice system. At Yale, she worked as a Communication and Consent Educator and as an intern with Yale’s Office of Gender and Campus Culture, working to help reduce sexual violence on campus. In her free time, Rianna enjoys poetry and spending time with her dog, Marsha.
