Leah Spigarn

Legal Intern

Leah Spingarn is a 3L student at Northeastern University School of Law. Originally from Newton, Massachusetts, she completed an undergraduate degree at Bates College with a major in social psychology and a minor in philosophy. Soon after, Leah moved to New York City to serve on a City Year team at Public School 83 in East Harlem. Leah spent the following two years working in Ropes & Gray’s professional development and training department before beginning law school. While at Northeastern, Leah completed a co-op with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education during the fall of 2021. More recently, Leah participated in a judicial co-op under the supervision of the Honorable Hélène Kazanjian, splitting her time between criminal and business litigation sessions. Leah’s decision to attend law school was informed by her strong interest in the intersection of law and policy as a means of pursuing equitable rights and opportunity. Leah hopes to participate in a career that supports people in the fight for systemic change.
