Community Engagement Manager

Khari joined GLAD in 2018, bringing to the organization deep community connections and experience in local and national organizing, including with the National LGBTQ/HIV Criminal Justice Working Group, The MA Against Solitary Confinement Coalition (MASC), KIN: An International Black Solidarity Movement, the Rights to Reality Coalition for Youth in State Custody, and Black & Pink.

Additionally, Khari is Chairperson on the National Black Leadership Coalition, and the founder of Queeri, an organization aimed at bridging the gaps between intersections of race, class, gender, sexual identity, and orientation. He also was a leading organizer of Boston’s Fight Supremacy March in the fall of 2017 countering white supremacy following the events in Charlottesville, as well as a follow up rally months later.

Khari is a huge fan of Coke Zero, puppies, and chocolate.
