Alex joined GLAD in August 2016 after graduating from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Government, focusing in political theory and constitutional law. While in college, he held internships at the New Hampshire Public Defender and the New York Civil Liberties Union’s Long Island chapter. Alex served as President of the Gender-Inclusive Greek Council, and was awarded the Order of Omega for leading reforms of the Council’s non-discrimination and financial aid policies. Alex’s senior honors thesis proposed a method for removing hate speech from First Amendment protection. It won the Bennett Essay Prize in Political Theory and Public Law. Alex is delighted to be at GLAD, and hopes to pursue a career in legal advocacy.
