Victory! Marriage Equality in Connecticut

The Connecticut Supreme Court issued a favorable decision TODAY in Kerrigan and Mock v. The CT Department of Public Health. The case was brought by GLAD on behalf of eight same-sex couples who seek to end marriage discrimination in Connecticut. Oral arguments in the case were heard by the Supreme Court in May 2007.

What to expect:

  • The decision was announced on the Connecticut Supreme Court website at 11:30 am.
  • A press conference will be held at 2 pm in Hartford today, hosted by GLAD and Love Makes a Family, to discuss the court’s ruling.
  • COME TO HARTFORD FOR A RALLY on the north steps of the Capitol at 5:30pm.
    • This evening at 7pm we’ll celebrate at a Victory Party in downtown Hartford.
    • In the coming weeks we’ll have a Celebration Event in Fairfield County.
