- About GLAD
New England’s leading legal rights organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on
sexual orientation, HIV status and gender identity and expression.
Research shows that the more people know their LGBT and HIV+ family, friends, and neighbors, the more likely they are to support our rights and help us work toward full equality.
We have come far in our fight for equal justice under law. But we still must work to educate our communities about the reality of LGBT people’s lives.
You don't have to be a rock star or a rocket scientist for your story to be important. If you work, stay at home, go to school, go to church, baby-sit your grandchildren, clip coupons, save to send the kids to college or for your retirement, we want to hear from you! We welcome stories from family, friends, and other straight allies, too.
Choose your location and answer a few questions so we can get to know you better:
After viewing pictures of the massive death and devastation caused by the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia, British photographer Caroline Hart enlisted her childhood friend Julia Fordham to re-record her hit song Happy Ever After to raise money for disaster relief. Now, Caroline is fighting for her own version of Happy Ever After with Laurie, an American citizen and her wife of four years.
