Gifts of Stock

GLAD is pleased to accept gifts of negotiable securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) to support our work. Such gifts can offer favorable tax advantages to you as a donor. Capital gains tax is generally not levied on the increase in the value of the stock, and a federal income tax deduction can be taken for the full fair market value of the stock at the time of the gift.
