Marriage Equality 9th Anniversary Celebration Photo Gathering

Join GLAD, the Respect for Marriage Coalition and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino for a celebration of the ninth anniversary of marriage equality in the United States.

We are inviting couples and families to gather for a photo here in Massachusetts where it all began nearly a decade ago.

Given the recent victory in Rhode Island making New England a complete marriage equality zone, and with the two historic marriage equality cases now before the U.S. Supreme Court, the time is right to recognize these first marriages.

We will gather for a photo following brief remarks from the Mayor in the beautiful Boston Public Garden. The specific location will be announced soon.
