No one may have been waiting more anxiously for the end of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) than bi-national, same-sex couples. The recent Supreme Court ruling striking down DOMA means that for many of these couples marriage can now provide a way for them to permanently live together in the United States.
To address these and other situations, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) is sponsoring a free forum for the LGBT community: “LGBT Immigration in a Post-DOMA World.”
Panelists will include Janson Wu of GLAD; Richard Iandoli of Iandoli & Desai, P.C.; Tom Plummer of Immigration Equality; and Sara Fleming of Ross Silverman LLP.
Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
