Action Day for Transgender Equal Access | Thursday, January 17, 2013
11 am - 1 pm (join anytime) | MA State House | RSVP
Transgender youth and adults far too often encounter unfair treatment, denial of services and even threats of harm when accessing everyday places like libraries, hospitals, stores and restaurants, or when using public transit, city streets or sidewalks.
Do you have a story to share about unfair treatment you or someone you know has faced?
GLAD is working with the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC) and the entire Transgender Equal Rights Coalition to see that Massachusetts enacts legislation to protect transgender people from discrimination in these public accommodation settings.
We know that one of the best ways to convince legislators and the general public about the importance of such protections is by sharing the stories of those who face such discrimination.
Please take our 3 minute survey to tell us about your experience.
Your story will help make a safer, more equal Massachusetts for all.
Please pass this survey along to anyone else you think may have a story to share.
