Got Pride?
The theme of this year’s Boston Pride parade is Riots to Rights: Celebrating 40 Years of Progress. GLAD has been here, fighting for the rights of LGBT and HIV positive people for 30 + years. And this year is no different.
From a landmark win for equality for transgender tax payers, to passage of statewide anti-bullying legislation that will help keep LGBT students safe at school, to our historic challenge to the federal government’s discrimination against married Massachusetts same-sex couples and more, there is much to celebrate and much work to do.
That’s why we want you to join us on June 12 as we march for equal justice under law for all. Bring yourself, your partner, your dog, your kids, your neighbors and friends. Have fun and be a part of GLAD’s work for equality!
The GLAD team will meet in the South End at approximately 11 a.m. (details to come) and will march through Boston to City Hall Plaza. We’ll provide you with a snazzy GLAD t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed).
Please .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by noon on June 11 to register to march with us. Let us know how many friends you will bring with you, and let us know if we can help you with special accommodations.
I hope to see you on the 12th!
