278 Employers File Brief Saying DOMA Should be Overturned

278 businesses, legal and financial firms, professional and trade organizations, and cities and towns filed a brief of amici curiae with the United States Supreme Court today saying that Section 3 of the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) creates complications for employers and employees and should be overturned.

The brief, which can be read here, was filed in the case Windsor v. United States, which is challenging Section 3  of DOMA as unconstitutional. The list of signers can be found here.
