Ensuring all students can participate in school sports in New Hampshire
Status: Victory
March 3, 2020: GLAD delivered testimony opposing HB1251 and SB480, legislation that would subject female athletes to intrusive medical testing in order to join a school sports team. Bills like these run counter to the spirit of school athletics, which are based on the values of diversity, teamwork, and personal development.
Though there have been a number of similar bills introduced throughout the country, GLAD will continue to fight for inclusion of all students in school sports across New England and the country.
