Banning So-Called “Conversion Therapy” in ME
Update May 29, 2019, Governor Janet Mills signs bill, making Maine the 17th state in the U.S. to ban the practice of conversion therapy on LGBTQ youth.
April 10, 2019, the Maine Joint Standing Committee on Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services held a public hearing on LD 1025, An Act To Prohibit the Provision of Conversion Therapy to Minors by Certain Licensed Professionals.
