Kristen joined GLAD in March of 2012 as a Legal Assistant, and became GLAD’s Foundation Officer in May of 2013. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree with high honors in Government and International Relations from Clark University. As a Master’s student, Kristen researched the prevalence of youth homelessness in Central Massachusetts and examined best practices for creating safe and welcoming spaces for LGBTQ youth in shelter environments. Before she joined GLAD’s staff, Kristen worked as the primary grant writer for Henry Lee Willis Community Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, and also wrote grants for the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. In her spare time, Kristen likes to sing, cook and relax with her pet rabbits, Simon and Fox. Kristen is excited to use her joint interests in the law and in grant-writing and foundation relations to achieve equality for New England’s LGBT community!
