Katie Shen joined GLAD in September 2012 after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law. In addition to volunteering for organizations such as the ACLU Women's Rights Project and Rhode Island Legal Services, Katie was the president of the Feminist Legal Forum and a member of the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic during law school. At graduation she was named a National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student and received the Robert E. Goldsten Award. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied English.
