Janet Lawn
Director of Leadership Giving

Janet Lawn joined the GLAD staff in February 2002 as Director of Development. Working from a vision of strengthening GLAD’s capacity for success during a time on growth and innovation, Janet involved a broad array of GLAD’s many donors and constituents in understanding and supporting our work. Under Janet’s leadership, GLAD’s revenue quadrupled through individual, corporate, foundation and special event fundraising and GLAD took an increasingly prominent role on the national scene and throughout New England. In 2011, Janet moved into the Director of Major and Planned Gifts position in order to focus on the opportunities and need for GLAD to grow in these areas. Janet has a strong background in non-profit development and management including as Interim Director of Development and Assistant Director of Development at Horizons for Homeless Children, Director of Development at the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, Chapter Services Director at RESOLVE, and experience in children’s services and community organizing. She holds a BA from Binghamton University and a Graduate Certificate in Community Organization Management from Tufts University.
